Capital Law Review

Scholarship. Dialogue. Law.

Capital Law Review is a forum for legal scholarship that examines law as a living discipline — one shaped by rigorous analysis, intellectual curiosity, and a commitment to justice. We publish writing that questions assumptions, advances dialogue, and contributes to the evolving future of law.

About the Journal

A living discipline, read closely

When we conceptualised Capital Law Review, it was with an appreciation for academic scholarship and discourse in the arena of law. While law undoubtedly exercises authority, it finds its legitimacy in the liberty it secures, the dignity it protects, and the justice it seeks to realise. The crux of legal scholarship, therefore, is to examine whether law continues to fulfil the aspirations of the people it shapes and is shaped by.

We publish with an insistence on academic focus, editorial independence and a commitment to quality. Every article is read for the precision our field demands, and for the empathy, curiosity and openness to varied perspectives that make writing about law meaningful. We believe every article has the potential to become part of a larger conversation that extends beyond classrooms and courtrooms.
